The Retrieval

I had my retrieval yesterday and all went well. I went into the room and was knocked out as soon as I was situated. Then I woke up to Matt and my mom in the recovery room. Matt had to play with every thing in the room and ended up blowing up one of the latex gloves like a balloon and pretending like it was an utter. I felt the need to tell the nurse that we really are mature adults that are capable of taking care of a baby!

The end result was awesome: 26 eggs retrieved!!
Heather = Best Hen EVER!

1st Fertilization Report
Today, I got the news that out of the 26 eggs retrieved, 14 of them fertilized. This is good news, not GREAT news but it is still good news!

Now they go back into the fake uterus incubator thingamajigger to keep growing. They will give us another report on Sunday to let us know how our 14 little embryos are doing.
Right now our Transfer is scheduled for Tuesday at 2:00 so we are hoping and praying that the little guys and girls will hold out till then!
