Today was our first sonogram since we found out we were pregnant. Matt and I have been counting down the days and could not wait to see a healthy little heart beat! When the doc first started looking he noticed that there was only one sac and here is how the conversation went from then…
Doc: Well it looks like there is only one sac so I guess the other one didn’t stick.
Matt: Wheeeeeew that is a relief!
Doc: Now let’s look to see if we can see a heartbeat.
Matt and I: (holding our breath)
Doc: Well there it is a healthy heartbeat!
Matt and I: “Ahhhhh” (both starting to cry!)
Doc: Wait a second… I think I see something else on the other side.
Matt: Oh my gosh I think I see something too!
Doc: Yep! It’s another heart beat!
Matt: So what does that mean? Is there two?
Doc: Yes there are defiantly two and they are both in the same sac so they are identical!
We didn’t really have any words after that, just lots of laughter and tears! I wanted to give everyone in the clinic a huge hug!! We could not be more excited! Matt has had the biggest smile on his face since we left the doctor.

Here is their first picture it is pretty hard to make anything out just two little blobs, but they are the most beautiful blobs I have ever seen!

Yes! Yes! Yes! or just Yes! Yes!...hee hee. We are so very excited for you both! Identical...really to think about it blows my mind. I mean that one egg implanted and the other did not yet the egg that remained divided completely on its own..loving how God worked this all out for you! Two identical little girls or boys...two, too sweet :)
I can't wait to meet them...and can't wait to read the blogs to come! I love you!
